Oystercatcher

Another largely wet day. We drove over to Fidden late morning and had a quick cowrie hunt on the beach before heading back to Fionnphort and the Keel Row for lunch. After a quick bite to eat, we realised it had dried up so we wandered down to the pier at Fionnphort then back to to car and back to Fidden where we spent much of the rest of the afternoon wandering along the beach, looking at the birds and searching for cowrie shells. I found a good number of cowries (37 in all) and there were plenty of oystercatchers around. All done to the sound of skylarks in the air. All in all a lovely afternoon.
