Lest We Forget

This is the Auckland War Memorial Museum. A striking building that honours our war veterans. It is ANZAC Day next week on the 25th April which primarily honours the soldiers that lost their lives (both Australian and New Zealand) at Gallipoli. Whilst the Auckland War Memorial Museum honours all soldiers in all wars ANZAC day has deep meaning.

I have been to Gallipoli and it is an emotional place. A lot of people lost their lives there on both sides and I believe both sides understand and respect the unnecessary loss of life.

I am not sure what I will be posting on 25th April but in case it is not connected to this day and event I wanted to post this today.
