Belties.

Sorry, for those not used to them they are correctly known as Belted Galloway cattle.  They are as tough as old boots, that is in temperament not to eat.  They can happily spend the winter outside grazing rough pasture.  They are being used on our local Wildlife Trust reserve, Eycott Hill, the grazing keeps the vegetation in the condition needed for the flora and fauna.

We visited Aira Cascades today.  I was standing in for the late Mate.  Well not standing in, but being chauffeur and gofer.  It was raining but not too hard so we carried on across the field and managed a good session at the cascades.

The farmer, possibly the NT was being a little naughty as you will see a young bull among the cattle.  However they are a docile breed and any bull running with cows isn't a great risk, it is when they are on their own they can be a problem.
