Straw Hat

Wind in the Willows always makes me think of straw hats .
The story written in 1910 was an era when a straw hat was essential summer wear, especially if messing about in boats on the river.
Had to show Kitty in extras , it’s a photo of a photo taken last year when she played Ratty in the end of year primary school play performed by the leavers. Don’t you just love her make up!
( will take the extra off tomorrow)

Went to Skipton today and went past the market ( where l saw the straw hats- such good value) then walked along the canal to cut through the park to go up to the farm shop. Saw a barge named Fiddlesticks, which rang a bell and who stood be steering but fellow Blipper lizzie_birkett !

Neither of us could stop and l didn’t have time to return to where they were going to stop, no doubt l will see her again soon :-)

Tim stayed last night and went off to Grassington this morning to do day one of a map reading course, as he is already a good map reader l am not sure what he will be doing.
Looking forward to cooking a meal to share with him tonight.
