Canal Dreams ..

A lovely evening for a wander by the Union Canal. A pleasant end to a day which I've enjoyed, pottering around Edinburgh, going to an exhibition about wallpaper at the Dovecot Tapestry Studios. I didn't get there in time to see the weavers in action, that's what happens when you start pottering ...

The exhibition was mostly about William Morris and his contemporaries, with quite a bit of historical background. I'd no idea block printing was so physical - and so complex. Managed to spot a fair number of the patterns I've used when patchwork - same patterns on a much smaller scale. 

I've got another day in town tomorrow, I must tackle my various errands with a bit more gusto!
