Stormy Weather Ahead

These clouds were looking threatening beyond the 9th green to the left and 10th tee to the right on this morning’s golf round but were actually moving away, having already rained heavily on us for the previous three holes. From here on it turned out sunny and the golf was pretty good too: I seem to be hitting the ball much more truly since my bad back encouraged me to slow my swing down.

We’ve enjoyed our regular Tuesday after school time with Sophie who’s still pretty tired after Sunday’s dance show. Her Mum, Kate, is pretty tired too after an all day interview at her school yesterday for a teaching job in the unit for children with autism where she’s currently a teaching assistant. With Sophie growing up and becoming more independent, Kate felt she could take on the commitment of a teaching role again now. She was delighted to get the job, starting  in September. No doubt the increased responsibility will bring its own share of stormy weather.
