Sparkle

We went to Iona for the day today. We got the 10.30am ferry and so arrived at a good time for a coffee. We had a coffee and shortcake at the Argyll Hotel. Blip is of the sparkling sea, taken just outside the hotel. It was a sunny day and everything was looking lovely. We then headed up to the Abbey (in extra) and had a look around. I've been many times in the past, but not for a number of years so it was good to see it all again.

After a packed lunch in the sun, we walked back through the village and followed the road south, ending up on Traigh Mhor (in extra). We found a sheltered spot and sat in the sun for a while. On wandering down to the sea we found a masses of cowries and collected a good number. I've never seen so many cowrie shells on a beach before! A slow stroll took us back to the village, a quick refreshement of lemonade and then a quick browse of the gift shops. Then it was time to get back on the ferry and head back to the caravan. A lovely, sunny, sparkly day all round!
