Southerly Blast

We met a friend from Christchurch today who was staying in Queenstown. We decided to play 9 holes at the Queenstown Club- a beautiful place on the Kelvin Heights Peninsula . It started out ok, but then a southerly blast came up from Kingston and we froze…so we only finished 7 holes and retreated to the club house for a hot chocolate!
In this photo, you can see that most of the remarkable s are covered, and the flag on the tee is showing the wind direction! It was still fun, and hardly anyone else playing (sensible people).
It’s great to be home by the fire.

Thank you for your warm comments on yesterday photo of the 3 of us. We actually plan to get some snow shades for Frida this winter (seriously!), so we need her to get used to them. The sun on the snow can be very harsh on the dogs eyes.
