I was back in Leeds this morning to give my last two lectures and to introduce the assignment, which always worries the students! We then had a coach trip to Ilkley Moor so that they could practice recording NVC samples in upland heathland vegetation. This group has been a real pleasure to teach and I received lots of heartfelt thanks when we arrived back in Leeds. Days like this remind me why it's worth doing this...
