Who's That on the Motte?

We were surprised today to find so much happening in Tamworth. It was the annual St. George's day celebrations. There were enactments and lots of activities for children. They were doing very well at the archery. I photographed a falcon being displayed by ye olde falconer. But this shot caught my eye.

We looked at the newly fenced in and denuded motte (they recently cut down lots of overgrown trees that were hiding the castle). The bluebells were coming up well, and some bits were looking greener than others. But then we spotted this feline, which was staring up at the top of the motte. We could not see what he was looking at, but he saw us looking at him. I wonder where he lives.

Sorry that although it is a good view of the curtain wall it is not the best of views of the castle.
