Butterfly Bonanza

A fine spring day saw the first major butterfly activity of the year. After occasional sightings of Peacocks and Small Tortoiseshells over the past couple of weeks, today there were lots of the latter about on the moor and in the village. This one was from early in the day in the garden.

Later, in the in-laws garden, a Peacock and my first Comma of the year.

Last year I managed to blip sixteen species, I'm hoping to get one or two different ones during 2013.
