Terriers

Walked 3.5 miles in the rain/wind/sun to Simonburn to visit the tea room & garden only to find it closed - oh no! The owner must have seen our little disappointed faces and came out to offer us tea & cakes. And it was all really good in the lovely garden. Got to play tug-of-war with their 2 beautiful terriers.

Back to Wark then out to Battlesteads Hotel for a delicious dinner, including a 5 course vegetarian tasting menu for G. It was all excellent quality with us both agreeing that the beetroot ice cream with goats cheese bonbons being the highlight.

Another great Northumberland day.
