Beamish Museum.

Good day out at Beamish museum in Co. Durham.  The 1950s area is partially open. One of the houses is a replica of Norman Cornish's House in Spennymoor.  Norman Cornish is one of the pitman painters. The house was recreated from photographs provided by Norman Cornish's children John and Anne. After the house was built and furnished the Cornish children checked it to see if it was authentic. A very interesting day out. The entrance fee covers you for the whole year so no doubt I will be returning.
