Abstract Twirl

It was a rainy day, so I decided to experiment with an abstract twirl art technique. I have recently seen several examples of this sort of thing here, and also in my 52Frames weekly challenge group. I find the resulting images very intriguing, but up until now, I had no idea how it was done. I finally figured it out, and this was my best attempt today.
