Tony the Fridge

Tony has been raising funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, with a fridge, since GNR 2011. Last year, he ran the course of the Great North Run every day for 30 consecutive days, culminating in the Great North Run itself; every run completed carrying a 40kg fridge.

I took this blip at about 4 o'clock this afternoon. Tony had been running around the quayside, with his load, since 6:30 pm last night, and had just another two and a half hours to go to finish his latest challenge.

He is quite mad - but amazing.
