The Thin Blue Line

First day of the school holidays saw 50% of the household lounging around all day in their PJs claiming various degrees of poorliness. Meanwhile, Mr B and I got on with various work - me strimming the hip-high grass on the terrace, Mr B fixing cracks and holes in the walls of the 'dining room'. After lunch, we joined forces to start the framing for building a new ceiling in the stairwell which, eventually, we decided would have to be consistently level within its own world, rather than being level with all the world. This blue line helped (and no, the wood is not supposed to be on the line).

A spring-ish day today. Not overwhelmingly warm (so I was able to do two hours strimming without getting too hot) and a bit breezy. I think tomorrow is supposed to be warmer (hope so, or we'll be huddling around the barbie for warmth. Tonight's dinner was a raclette, finally getting round to using the new raclette set re-gifted to us by some friends. Delicious it was too.
