Huntingtower Castle

My u3a History Group meets  on the 4th Friday of every month. Normally one of the members leads off a discussion but today we went on outing to Huntingtower Castle just outside Perth.

It is a familar sight from many trips to Dobbies nearby but it was the first time I had been insider. We were given a guided tour and it was really interesting.  I was taken by remnants of paintings on the walls including this one with a 3-D effect which follows on from the perspective work I'd been doing in my evening class.

Afterwards we went to Gloagburn Farm Shop for coffee and scones - their special today was rhubarb and cinnamon and very nice it was too.

A grand day out.
