Down but NOT out

Pompey signed off at home in style today by thrashing Sheffield Utd 3:0 and rounding off the best week (in planet Pompey) for some time. We have brought the club out of administration, the supporters now own the club. We have had ten points deducted this season (not next) for being in administration which will take us down but we were going down to league 2 anyway. Go figure? And as football is the most important part of it all we played very well and won today. So we are down to the bottom league but we are NOT out of the leagues altogether which is very much where we could have been.

I was going to blip a photo of the team playing or doing a lap of honour on the pitch after the final whistle but instead I have chosen that other traditional footballing thing a band of Brazilian ladies strutting their stuff on the hallowed turf to the samba beat!
