Windmill 'De Nijverheid', Sint Maartensdijk

'Nijverheid' = 'Nigh-ver-heid' = 'Industriousness'.  In other words, 'hard work'.
'Sint Maartensdijk' = 'St. Martin's Dike'

AW came along!  Fab weather, no?  It is a joy to drive through the countryside, and Zeeland is a rather 'quiet' province.  The whole area used to be nothing but small clumps of islands scattered here and there, and then, when serious land reclamation began, it became more solid.  Today, it is a province of pensioners -- a drive to the city will bring you some excitement, if you want, but you can always go home to your cozy corner of peace, surrounded by a lot of water.

The day actually began with communications to and from the Viking -- he's definitely going full steam ahead.  I am reminded of how we were when the case had just begun, three years ago.  His optimism, his enthusiasm, his energy, all of it is back.  Now that cross examinations have begun, his killer instinct is activated.  Finally finished rereading the Transcript and making notes, followed by WhatsApp talks with Mimi and with him.  AW repaired the Internet connection with my phone, and there were a stream of calls between all parties.  It would be good if the opposition wouldn't lie so much, as it will not help him.  It will, however, mean more work for us.  As the Viking has noted, Jay will 'stick to his script' until he is forced to give it up.  Not my problem.

MOOCking, supermarket errands, kitchen duties.  I can hardly believe it, but May is about to end.  Thankful for longer daylight hours and for so many other things.  Thank YOU for visiting regularly!
