Night sky

Up in Moffat now for a little 3-day trip away. Staying in the Stag Hotel, in quite a chilly room though it helps with sleeping at least. Had a chicken chow main from the Chinese - with gravy! It was very good. Then felt a big sluggish of course, but still walked 9 miles in the evening.

The last portion of that involved me going up the Gallowhill Woods for a night sky photo attempt. I did one in Kirroughtree last summer, but I used my phone's (Samsung Galaxy S8) Pro camera mode, adjusted some settings then used an PICNIC to add in a night sky filter.

I thought the sky overall came better than the last one but the bottom half of this photo is basically all black. Though, thinking about it, it would best to do something like this in October where sun sets around 6-7 and it actually gets fully dark. Because in Scotland, the twilights are so long in summer that when the sun sets it's just twilight until the sun rises again. It's like this for 3 months from May to August.
