She did it....

This is Rae, my massage therapist crossing the finishing line of her leg of the Cabot Trail Relay Race !   Jane and i headed up to the Clucking Hen, about 1/2 hour away from her place, to witness Rae finishing her leg of this amazing race that has been going on for over 20 years, but of course not the past 2.  It's a very impressive event and brings teams from all over Canada...might even have a team from the US, not sure!   Anyway, there are 17 legs to the race, which takes over 24 hours to run!!! More than 60 teams enter it and so each leg has that # of folks running it.   They run all thro the night and will end up in Baddeck tomorrow morning around 11 am.   I'm planning to head down there to see them come in!

It is a pretty exciting event....all along the route folks were cheering and dressed up, the energy was high.   see extras for a few highlights!
