Summit of Stac Pollaidh

After all the travelling yesterday we planned a lazy day for today. A quick walk to the point Rubha Coigeach turned into a 6 mile tough hike through heather, round bogs and jumping streams. Great coastal views though.  For the afternoon we were talking about visiting the big beach to the north for a stroll. But Stac Pollaidh was calling, the cloudbase was high, the mountain tops were clear, it wasn't raining and there was the possibility of sun. So a quick run up Stac Pollaidh it was and we were rewarded with stupendous views.

Now back at the cottage with feet up, and a glass of Bucks Fizz kindly left by the cottage owner.

This is only day 1 of 14, we really must learn to pace ourselves and remember that the legs aren't as young as they once were!
