Good choice all round.

We thoroughly enjoyed lunch in The View Restaurant at the Cuillin Hills Hotel. We’ve not eaten out much in the last few years, so we enjoyed it all the more. It’s a lovely hotel restaurant. Very clean, airy and pleasant. Nice bar area too. We were indoors as it was a four seasons in one day sort of day. The views across the gardens and Portree Bay were lovely (extra photo). The young gentleman running the restaurant was welcoming and attentive. Book it; you won’t regret it.

We walked around Portree and the Harbour with it’s multicoloured buildings (extra photo). The wind was sharp off the water.

Later in the day we went to Armadale on Sleat. The ferry had left early because of the weather; previous sailings had been cancelled. The views across to to the mainland were nice none the less.

There was another downpour when we were parked in Broadford. A nice rainbow came and went quickly (extra photo).
