Sun Day

Although it was only Saturday, it was a day filled with sunshine and warmth, a very welcome change to the weather we have had of late. Being Saturday, it was dog agility class for Bertie and what a great time he had with the new group he has joined! Unfortunately, he thought that he was there to play with Daisy (his pal from the beach on Friday) and it took a lot of hard work by myself and our tutor to try and keep him focussed on the task in hand. He kept having wee detours between jumps to say hello to Daisy. It was hilarious.
The sunshine encouraged N to dust down the lawn mower and tidy up the garden area which was looking very neglected due to “no mow May”, although I do think that the lack of mowing in May was more down to the weather. Anyway, he has left uncut large areas containing grasses and wild flowers so it is still a magnet for insects.
My photo for today is a favourite time of day for me. At this time of year the sun stays above the hill until late in the evening and I love the way its  rays catch the tops of the trees as it gradually sinks lower.
