St. Nicholas Church

This church is extremely old - parts of it date back to 879 AD. Mr I, being very interested in all medieval stuff, has been wanting to look round it for ages - and today the church warden was giving guided tours. He was very young, very enthusiastic, knew the history of the church brick by brick, and obviously loved talking about it. He always referred to it as ‘her’ and ‘she’ instead of ‘the church’. It’s very pretty and cosy and has some beautiful features. I loved the colours in this stained glass window.
Found out later via the lady on the door that the church warden is a poet!
