Sidonie

Being the proud owner of a glass menagerie, I bought this piece of Lalique glass from an antique shop in Scottsdale last week to add to my collection. I thought it was a good reminder to take it slow, and "stop to smell the roses."
When I looked up the piece online (and yes, I got a great deal!) I discovered it is named Sidonie, which is a French name meaning flower. And only then (yes, I am slow in more ways then one), I realized the shell is in the design of a beautiful flower!
What a delight to feel as if I got the message the Creator intended :-)
