Topcroft Open Gardens

We  went to Topcroft open gardens today. Topcroft is a small village toward Bungay and ran an impressive event , despite the rain.  There was transport around the gardens and good catering. As a casual  onlooker  the gardens were good.
Margery Brewes wrote to her future  husband from Topcroft in 1477 calling him her valentine. Perhaps the first reference in English.

Down the road was Hardwick airfield built in 1941/2 for the USAAF bomber squadrons.
