My Generation

Went on a favourite walk today along the Stover canal and the river Teign. It is flat and kind on the old knees.Between the trees you can see Haytor on Dartmoor. Ten minutes later the forecast rain arrived. We started the walk at the Passage House Inn where a group of Torbay Mods arrived on their Lambrettas and Vespas. Most of them were nice old boys, about my age- the bus pass generation. In other news Nottingham Forest won the play off final to go up to the Premier League. I was thrilled. From the age of ten for a few years Forest were my life.
Bird of the day was a bullfinch.
