A Sticky End

Pat is making a curious concoction called Pinecone Jam. She had harvested fresh pine cones during our Saturday adventure.

Pine resin is quite a sticky substance as the subject of today’s Blipfoto found out.

I had been looking at the new growth on our Scots Pine and was surprised to find this wasp well and truly stuck to the cone.

Amongst all the cones on this tree I came across this. There was no sign of life. Bereft of life, an ex wasp as Monty Python might have said.
