First heifers out

Fixed the fences of the small paddock in the morning and did other preparations in the afternoon, then a little stone picking with the boys.

Got my brother and nephew #1 to help with getting the heifers out in the evening. My idea was to put seven straight into the large paddock (ones who were there last year) and three into the small one (ones who have come during the winter, but already quite big). There was a lot of wrestling to get them out, and then the first one of those three chose not to be restricted by the fences. We had to chase her on the next field and once caught at the end of a rope, walked her back home. I couldn't decide whether we put her back in the shed or in one of the pastures, but she decided herself to go the large one. I was too exhausted to fight back at that point, so my part was to repair the damages she caused to the fences.

A bit of extra excitement was to see, if we get a shower in the middle of it all. We didn't, but the clouds were quite spectacular.
