Legends ….

Of King Arthur …. First stop of the day was Tintagel castle . When we visited back in 2019 the bridge was 4 days away from being opened so we didn’t get to maraud across … then of course that bloody pandemic got in the way 2020/2021 so we ended up not seeing it until now . Anyway I didn’t like the photos of the bridge after all that moaning about it so you’ve got my grandson and the sculpture of King Arthur instead …
2nd stop of the day a fabulous cafe up in the village which was quite frankly AWESOME. The name of the cafe is Charlie’s . They are so friendly and the food is delicious.
3rd stop we ended up at Widemouth bay beach … clean and not particularly busy either with decent toilets and a good cafe . Surprisingly the Atlantic Ocean was not freezing cold and the boys surfed for just under 2 hours . It’s been a good day !!!
I did remark that we have to keep packing stuff into our days as you never know when you’ll drop dead … this was met with some serious nodding and general agreement even though it was deemed I was slightly morbid at 6.45pm on a Monday evening.
