A Kir Before Lunch

Lunched at the beach again. Here in Provence they serve the rosé wine in pichets, accompanied by a jug of ice cubes. You pop a couple in your glass before pouring in some wine - a good way to keep it chilled (and water down the alcohol). While J had a kir as an apéro, I ordered a Ricard. It comes with a couple of ice cubes and a bottle of water for diluting it. Somehow I confused the wine for the water and diluted my Ricard with rosé. After coming to terms with what I had done, I drank it. Delicious (if a little heady). I enjoyed a long siesta.
