Holiday day 1

We got away on time this morning and made good progress until we hit the M42 around Birmingham -where there is a lot of HS2 work going on.

We arrived in lovely sunshine  at Cheltenham racecourse our home for the next two nights.

Before we had dinner we had a walk up to the small railway station, passing colourful marquees and a huge outdoor stadium ready for the Wychwood Festival this weekend.

Tomorrow we will take the steam train from Cheltenham to Broadway.
