Fields of Gold - or Pink & White

A beautiful evening for a trail run with P & S around Battisford, just south of Stowmarket. Couldn't decide between the two photos I took, though the main has more shape due to the contours. Although gold around here is usually oilseed rape(earlier in the year), these were buttercups, with red clover underneath & sorrel flower spikes adding their rust colour into the mix. The second/extra shows the edge of a wheat field sown with a wild flower mix dominated by oxeye daisies & pink campion at the moment. We saw a barn owl hunting over that field, too, but I'd zipped my phone away in my running belt by then!
