Alone

This memorial stands quite alone for the biggest part of the year and yet this Thursday, 25th April is A.N.Z.A.C Day the flags will be hoisted atop the flagpoles (there was a war veteran practicing hoisting the flags and timing himself before I took this blip) Thursday the steps will be laden with flowers and wreaths from every community.
The grassland in front Of the memorial will hold dignitaries and 100's of men, women and children, all there to pay their respects to the courageous many that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their people and for their country.
So although the cenotaph stands alone the Men And Women who fought in two world wars will never be alone and never be forgotten.
