30 Days Wild

Many years ago when teaching quite a young class I tuned into ‘ 30 Days Wild’. Run by the Wildlife Trust it encourages folk in the month of June to do something outdoors every day regardless of weather. I always used it for the last month of the summer term to plan lessons and homework round when children ( and staff) were tired and ready for holidays. I’m going to try and ensure I record an outside blip of some sort for every day in June this year ( I have done it before:)
This is a Small Heath butterfly - the first I’ve seen this year , spotted on a 10 minute wander in a quarry after visiting mum. I also saw a ‘ mother shipton’ moth which was a new one for me :)
