The Platinum Jubilee

It was a gloriously sunny day for this first day of the celebrations - one of two days of Bank Holidays.


When we returned home from holiday, this was the scarecrow effigy of Her Majesty which surprised us in our close ! We did naughtily smile at the way her arm is raised as if doing a Nazi Salute !! But anyway there’s bunting everywhere and everyone seems in good spirits .

A cycle ride for provisions this morning, shopping in Sherborne and a lovely walk at the Newt, this afternoon.

I’ve baked a cherry cake ready to decorate for celebrations in the coming days !
