This lonely flower is the only hint of color among
the greens, browns, and blacks in the backyard garden.

For the first time ever in my history of employment,
I took a sick day at work today.
My coughing, sneezing, and exhaustion was enough
to tell myself, "Just stay home and recuperate."
I napped, did some homework, sneezed, etc.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
