One end of the River Thames

It's not always obvious where a river ends and there is plenty of debate about the point where the Thames Path ends, but we went with the point given in our official trail guide - Crayford Ness. We walked there from Woolwich today, thus reaching one end of our Thames challenge. We have now walked the path from Bablock Hythe in Oxfordshire, and plan to spend a week in July walking back to the source. This was a project started in lockdown that we have really enjoyed. The blip is a typical view of this part of the river today - industrial relics, scrubby vegetation, big wide river. Over 32000 steps today!
