Better Days

My poor bicycle has been declared unrepairable by the local bike mechanic. I have owned if for almost twelve years (see it after my inaugural ride, immortalized on blip) and it has provided almost daily riding enjoyment since then. The Zihuatanejo weather, however, has proved too much for the metal parts and there is severe rusting on multiple surfaces. The mechanic told me it would be too expensive to fix and he wasn't sure it was even possible. I cleaned it up a bit this morning and plan to ride it until something fails. I have already purchased one new bike this past year, so hopefully my trusty steed will hang in there a while longer.
