Gates!

Lacking in inspiration today and we didn't get close enough to any of the deer for a reasonable shot walking around Charlecote this afternoon. 
These would have been the gates travellers might have passed through on their way to Stratford on Avon in times past.

Very few visitors despite the long weekend,  no queue in the coffee shop and perhaps a third of the parking spaces taken.   As we were leaving, and I had put the camera away, a DeHaviland Vampire took off from Wellesbourne airfield and a Catalina flew over as we were driving home.
