Beautiful walk

Still playing catch up I’m afraid.  The walk with the Llanelli Ramblers was supposedly a 6 miler (the steps on my watch said much more!) and took us through national trust land at Stackpole with huge beautiful lily ponds.  We were told that they would normally flower in late June/July so we were lucky to see them like this. After the pictured bridge we went upwards then downwards, then upwards - a recurring theme for the afternoon, seeing beautiful beaches and a walk over the cliff tops taking in Stackpole Quay, Barafundle, Broadhaven etc (extras).  A beautifully warm sunny day, ending as before in a pub - a stay which was elongated as the “long walk” group were waylaid showing visitors a church on the beach. Great company, and I think we have persuaded a few of the ramblers to give the Yorkshire Dales a try.  We even got a thank you speech for joining the group at the festival.  The kind coach driver dropped us off near the hotel on the return journey much to the consternation of some of the group who had wanted to have a last chat, especially G who had been very informative!  Lovely group, and a lovely place to walk.
