Baywalking

The sands of Morecambe Bay are notoriously dangerous with areas of quicksand and a tide that races in faster than most can run.  The Queen's Guide to the Sands leads pre-arranged groups safely across on a few occasions each year and in doing so raises funds for charity.  It is certainly not a walk that should be attempted without an expert guide.
