Volos harbour

We caught an early bus into Volos today as the timetable is very limited at the weekends. We headed first towards the train station with it's quaint station frontage. The trains from here are long distance ones and we watched as a young girl ran after the train as it left. The station master phoned the train and it slowed down and waited for her to run along the track to catch it. Not sure that would happen at home.

We then strolled along the harbour frontage in the warm early morning sun. Today's blip was taken from here with some lovely reflections of the old building and very new yacht. Unfortunately l didn't take one on my camera as well because it didn't look so good later in the day when l eventually did take out the camera. I was probably more interested in the morning coffee which we were heading for.

We then had a quick wander around the town followed by a rest in the shade before catching an early afternoon bus back. Interestingly the buses are very modern coaches with good air conditioning so they are comfortable rides. We then scampered back to our accommodation for a late lunch and relaxation.

We had a lovely meal at what is becoming a favourite restaurant. It has a great view over the bay and we watched as the sun slowly set. Fortunately l had my camera with me so should have a better version than the extra just added and taken on my phone.
