Red Wood Grey Wood

I really liked the colour of the wet wood on the recliner in the foreground.  I also really liked the fact that it was raining - we really don't get enough rain.

I was up quite early this morning and it was civilised.  I made tea and a bacon roll.  It's been months since I had a proper bacon roll.  German "bacon" tends to be reallllllly thin and streaky and tastes vaguely of nothing, but this was a pack of my smuggled just before Brexit Bacon, and it tasted wonderful.  That and a cup of tea and the cryptic crossword - a pretty decent start to a Sunday.

A start that got better when I tuned into the Test Match.  There is always the possibility that England will England a decent set up but not today.  They needed 63 runs and managed it without losing a wicket.  As a bonus for everyone who bought a ticket, because there were less than 15 overs, everyone gets a full refund.  Lovely stuff.
