Getting a Right Royal Soaking

It threatened all morning and by lunchtime down came the rain.
The street party l was invited to went ahead and it was a lovely event but oh did we get wet!
 It was quite funny when our overhead cover suddenly spilled all it’s collected water over me, even more funny when it happened two more times :-))
I was soaked through to my underclothes, a couple of towels helped but it didn’t stop us seeing the funny side.
With true British stoic spirit we saw the afternoon out.
Pimm’s helped but a cup of Yorkshire tea was even better.
Now at home drying out.
What a lovely few days this has been, so welcome to be among others and enjoying community events after Covid.
