Wet Geranium

There was a lot of rain overnight which began again in the morning , hammering down with gusto. The garden is looking a bit bedraggled at the moment.

 It seems some areas of the UK with outdoor Jubilee events planned had to try and move indoors if possible, though the big pageant in London escaped a dowsing.

I thought that last evening's Platinum Party at the Palace was amazing - what a spectacle! Today's pageant was fascinating, underlining the diversity and achievements of the British and Commonwealth people over the past 70 years. Best of all were the happy faces and the feeling of optimism.
