Broch of Gurness

We went to Skara Brae first thing, but already 4 busloads of people were there, so went to the broch instead & got it all to ourselves :)
Then to Scapa pier as we heard the orcas were there, a bit nearer today but still not jumping out of the water in slo-mo for me to get a good shot.
After lunch, a trip far north west to Brough of Birsay island, to try and find some puffins. There’s a causeway to walk across but as it was covered in water, I was worried we wouldn’t get back - one guy just came back as we arrived, barefoot & said the water was lovely!
