hot. really hot. the first heat warning of the summer, third day of 36 degrees... on the streets it felt as if the sun was being magnified somewhere above, the kind of day where walking just wasn't an option, well unless you were in dire need or certifiable... at one point it did become a necessity, taking shelter in the subway, figuring that a blip would be found, water would be drunk, sweat might just about dry and grateful for remembering a hat... then back into the furnace, the cladding heat reflecting even after sunset...
