Mono daft baby robin

This baby robin arrived on the top of the hedge where his mum often comes, but could not get the hang of this bread thing, so he pecked around for insects, including from this vantage point.

Later on he came back with mum who showed him what it was all about, and left him to it.  Full colour collage at extra, and all shots on Flickr.  I wanted a shot with him with a beak full of bread, but he was so fast that even at 1/250 sec his beak and head were a blur. All shots through double glazing, so quality not at its best anyway.

I can never resist a pedantic go at ‘mono’ when the opportunity arises.  It is argued that ‘black’ is the absence of all colour, and white is a combination of all colours, so neither can be a colour.  Try telling them that at B&Q.  This of course means that what we normally call ‘mono’ should really be called ‘Black and White’.  Come to think of it that’s what PS and other editing programs call it.

Many thanks to PinkHairedLady for giving me an opportunity to be pedantic.   Not sure that the robin is celebratory, but I could not let these shots go away.
